This is a brief description of the most common commercial oyster mushrooms. It highlights some of the main differences between them including temp range, shelf life, taxonomy and other important features.
Take your time to learn and make sure you understand these differences so you’ll know what to grow next. However, I’m encouraging you to grow all of these starting with the common oyster mushrooms types then probably best would be to try growing yellow oysters followed by pinks and abalones -just make sure that you match the mushroom with the right season (if you don’t have an equipped mushroom farm). Also try growing the cool blue columbinus variety on conifers. Lastly I would suggest you to try the king oyster which requires a different growth method (you’ll find that in my next course).
